Wehrmachtskanister (German) = Jerrycan. A jerrycan is a 20 litres fuel container made from pressed steel. The jerrycan was invented by the Germans during a secret project ordered by Hitler.
Goodness, gracious, great balls of fire is from the lyrics of Great Balls of Fire, a love song written by Otis Blackwell and Jack Hammer. Jerry Lee Lewis' version of the song was a number one US hit in 1958.
